Just a little note to reiterate to everyone the awesomeness that is reading and books…
April 12 is National Drop Everything and Read Day. Drop Everything and Read (D.E.A.R.) is a national month-long celebration of reading designed to remind everyone to read and to make reading an important activity in their lives.
Beverly Cleary first wrote about D.E.A.R. in Ramona Quimby, Age 8. Since then, Drop Everything and Read programs have been held nationwide on April 12th in honor of Beverly Cleary’s birthday.
Can there be a better celebration? We are all encouraged to drop everything and read today. I am fully taking advantage of this commandment and will be starting a new book I just picked up from the library.
So, what are you reading today?
