About 17 miles north of Seattle sits the city of Edmonds. It’s a picturesque waterfront community, with views of the Puget Sound, Whidbey Island, and the neighboring mountain ranges. Founded by George Brackett in 1890, Edmonds has grown to be a charming city away from the hustle of downtown Seattle.
I journeyed up to Edmonds for the day and took in the sights at the Edmonds Waterfront Festival. There are many things to occupy your time in Edmonds. If you like, you can take a stroll up Main Street and browse in the shops. If you are of the aquatic nature, you can scuba dive in the surf or launch your boat from the marina. If you want to see the sights from the Puget Sound, you can take the ferry over to Kingston.
